Spur Maker
Born in Winnemucca, Nevada in 1914, Elmer worked on his father's cattle ranch in Paradise Valley, Nevada in the 1930s before moving to San Francisco in the 1940s to partner with Al Tietjen. The renowned partnership relocated to Reno in 1949 and two years later (1951) Tietjen left and Miller returned to Paradise Valley where he resided until the early 1960s when he moved to Nampa, Idaho. In the 1986 Elmer started his popular bit and spur school in Nampa mentoring some of the most illustrious modern makers.
